This "should" make a large difference in HP.
Large being a subjective term of course.
    But noticeable.

Not sure. Was really not looking to make it faster just looking to gain some umph in the cut and get it to hold the rpm even better. Sorry man. Sometimes before and after dosnt cross my mind.

ok so i had some free time finally and pulled the 500 carb and a 620(HDA316). no way to make the 620 carb fit without major mods. the biggest sticking point is the thickness of the carb. HDA is 1.334 thick while the WT is a measly 1.132 thick. that dimension will virtually make it impossible to retain the stock air filter, elbow, and filter cover combination. on the plus side the mounting holes line up and i think with just some bending of the choke linkage it would hook up, the throttle linkage would need flipped to the oposite side of the carb and bent to hook up but i think that could be done easily enough.

I also compared the WT carb to a zama c1q off a 5105. no easy way to swap that one on and it would probably be pointless trying since they both share a 13.5mm venturi. But....there is a big difference in the shape of the carb throat and venturi. just eyeballing it...looks like the c1q has a "cleaner" air path to follow and more area inside the venturi. so i can see how the c1q on a 5105 would flow more air and provide for a stronger running saw.
