Amen to that! Except for when I got summoned to my counselor’s office, to ask why I hadn’t taken an ACT or SAT yet, with graduation only a couple of months away. After my reply that it cut into my outside time on the weekend, she shook her head and told me that she signed me up for the ACT that Saturday, and I’d better hope I passed because it was the last test date I could take for the results to go to the NCAA Clearinghouse and be eligible for college athletics that upcoming year. Oops. Fiiine, took the test and burned my Saturday. Got summoned AGAIN a couple weeks later, but this time it was to get on my case because I scored really well. She said with that score I should have been carrying a higher GPA! Sheesh, can’t win for losin’!
Yeah, Mom got really mad when she saw my ACT score, same reason. Oh well, you can't please everybody, so don't bother trying to please anybody.
Wasn't me...got a couple post millennials though...whatever the term is for them now...gonna do my level best to teach them to not always "follow the herd"...to not be sheeples, just compassionate productive members of society.
