I'll be having one Wed. and Thur. for sure. Highs in the low 50's and lows around 40.

Cleaning the chimney next week and shutting it down for the season. For the next 3 months I'll be excited if I can tolerate a fire OUTSIDE.

I'm officially done even though it is supposed to get down into the mid 40's tonight and tomorrow night. I swept the chimney, took all the ashes out, swept around the hearth and put a can of damp rid in the stove. I'll run the boiler if it gets too cool in here. Next fire in the stove will probably be October.
Got the wood stacks tidied up but still have a few cords I could split.

I'm not ruling out a fire in the NZ3000 the next night or two. If nothing else might make the Mrs. shed some clothes.....lmao.....

If you get that sign up, you may need this too to make it all come around just the way you have it planned. (notice I said the way YOU have it planned) LOL

Good reminder. I was sitting here with the windows shut but it has cooled off enough to open up and drop the temperature before morning. Right now it is 62ºF and the predicted low is 52 so it should give me a start on the AC for tomorrow if I close up at sunrise.

That's the way to do it Oldman47. My wife has a hard time understanding that closing the windows in the morning keeps the house cooler. :tears:
    But I love 'er!:)

I have 3 units in the windows now but I rarely need to run all of them. I usually run 2 but once the house is cooled down, one can keep it there. But I set them at 72.

But when it gets into the mid 90's with dew points in the 70's it takes all three to keep it comfortable. Kinda like using the smoke dragon to supplement the FPI when the temp drops down into the teens and single digits for extended periods.

Yeah I broke down and started one last night. Was down to 68° inside. The g/f said she was cold and I wanted one too. Glad I hadn't clean the stove and pipe for the season. Will probably get at it this weekend. She having here wisdom teeth pulled Friday morning so I should have plenty of me time while she's layed up for the weekend.
