Yes, these underground safe rooms are a great investment if they save lives. The weather seems to be getting a lot worse and will continue to do so imo, and someone can purchase a safe room for right around $ 5000.00 plus install charges which are another 5-7 grand, but if someone would install it themselves, it is well worth it. Be safe guys.......

    Yea
If I lived in the area, I'd want a concrete
underground room with quick easy access from the house.
Double a a root cellar for food storage :)

There is a guy that buried a school bus as storm shelter in a trailer park on the other side of the state. It saved everyone's life in the big tornado 3yrs ago.
After those storms all kinds of companies started swarming around selling the fiberglass ones around here - a lot of shoddy installs and people stuck with leaky expensive caves.

The soil down here is not well draining so basements are rare and usually built into hillsides.

Wasn't bad here last night - looks like this afternoon through tonight we are going to get hammered, and the sun is trying to poke out...not good

Yea, ground water would be a concern in many areas.

Could hear chain saws running in the back ground of some Weather channels reports.
    Lots of tree damage.

Glad you got the big oak down !
