    Occasionally, I'm guilty of installing the burn pot backwards after cleaning.. While tt don't appear to make a huge difference, when the deflector weldment is facing forward, the fuel tends to clump in the middle of the pot.

    I only realize I've installed it backwards after I fire it up for some reason, probably age and senility I guess.

    That’s a good tip. I’ll inspect that part next time I pull the stove out on the service rails. I want to say my stove has some type of plastic bumper in that area. I’ll try and take pics next time.
