    Day 12

Three walks done today....reached my goal. Leftovers to eat all day long with a frozen pizza for this evening.

All the snow that we got the night before has melted today...with the exception of some on the north sides of the roofs.

Moon is out in a clear sky tonight. It has no idea what is going on down here on earth.....

Finished splitting the wood I hauled over here last fall. Got it stacked, took the uglies and random junk to the fire pit wood stacks, raked the area up and torched all the bark and scraps left over that weren’t worth saving.

This is the first time since summer of 2018 that there hasn’t been wood sitting there to process. Guess I’ll need to get my hoard on and replenish the pile.

All was good here until Mrs. Backwoods Savage chewed my ear off only because the tilted kilt guys had way more clothing on than she is use to.

    DAY 13

Did some raking at both places today. Got a fair portion done at the lake as I always rake up the rocks that the snowplow sheds onto the rite of way along the highway. Just about everyone cuts their grass along the highway, I've been doing it for decades and its nice after raking up those rocks not to worry about hitting them with the mower. About 80% done and ended up with 6 wheelbarrow loads for the softer spots in the driveway.

1 lb of bacon for breakfast....... Nothing but bacon and toast and juice and coffee!

One more thing....we heard a lot of gunshots today.

Sure was a lot of traffic out and about today. Lots of side by side (buggys) riding around too.

Our stay at home goes to the end of the month.....

Finally finished maple season . Fortunately, it’s been me , trees , sap , and a whole bunch of firewood ! When your chucking firewood every 7-10 minutes in a 30” wide by 36” deep firebox the hands get sore .

Behind the house is a hunt club . You would never know we are on stay at home orders seeing nothing but an orange army .

Nice day here weather wise, 55 & sunshine. Looked pretty busy when I went for some necessaries at the store. Ice cream drive thru was busy & the gas station was busy with bait & licenses. I graded the driveway & split & stacked some Oak. Made burgers on the grill & enjoyed the weather.

I'm betting ours gets extended. I have a sales tax bill due the 20th. Gonna send a letter with the paperwork suggesting they take it out of my unemployment that I can't sign up for or the SBA loan the no bank seems to know how to apply for.

So sorry I was not able to get over there this spring. How did the run turn out? And yes, I can imagine what that club is like. Many times it sounds like army practice around here too. This weekend we heard shots from all directions.
