The Metro Vancouver area gets a lot of fog during different parts of the year. Years ago when my Mother was a teenager, coal burning, wood stoves and sawdust burning appliances were very common. As a result, fog became really thick with all the particulates in the air to form on. She said that you would be standing on the corner waiting for the street car and it would loom up out of the fog very close before you saw it. I know with all the cleaner burning appliances available today that that scenario might not happen but the weather has changed so much you don't know if it could repeat itself.

I take Serious Offense at that.

    Oregon already has Enough Problems,
Let’s not make a Bad situation WORSE

There are a LOT of things to Love about Oregon, Politics just ain’t one of them

Get away from the cesspool known as Portland, the Willamette Valley and a few other Looney Liberal Left strongholds, and the rest of the state has a lot going for it

BTW, I grew up in Portland’s outer eastside, when Portland was still a City to be PROUD of, Not the EMBARRASSMENT that it has become

Californicated, everything south of Redding, could fall off into the ocean, and my only concern would be the Pollution.

As far as Washington, If I won the Lottery, I would likely never cross the Columbia River again West of the Cascades. Lots of Great things and People in Central and Eastern Washington

That would be an “Orygunian” if a Right Thinking Conservative ;)

But Oregonian, is the “Proper “ terminology

Unfortunately, too many equate All of Oregon, with the Geographically small percentage of the state that is populated with the Lefty Loonies.

There is so much more to Oregon than the Portland cesspool and Willamette Valley

    Just curious, where is Erff?

Husky Man I have spent some significant time in Oregon on business and pleasure in my prior life and I always had a very nice time and good experiences. Sure, there’s some wacko’s in Portland ( as in many other cities and states)Lots more now than when I was traveling there though:(. It’s a gorgeous state with excellent wineries and restaurants. Not to mention the coastline and both freshwater and saltwater fishing!

PS Not all Oregonians are liberals. I know many who are definitely NOT
