Hey you know some of my best friends are long hairs. You met my dad right? I meant to write you but I guess I haven’t gotten around to it yet. I really enjoyed your company and I’m so glad you guys made the trip. You got here a day earlier than I expected but I’m glad you did cause we got the chance to talk a little more. In fact, you know Chazsbetterhalf is an early riser like me, and she kept me company at 5:30AM while I was putting the first batch of ribs on the smoker. We talked for hours about all of your dirty secrets, and I feel like I got to know you so much better. I’m kidding. Actually we were mostly just enjoying the quiet and all the birds singing and swimming in the lake. We actually didn’t talk about your dirty secrets very much. And on the contrary - you were pretty much exactly who I was expecting, which is why I invited you and was looking forward to it. I may be cutting some trees in the near future at my friends’ cabin in Shinglehouse PA and you guys are invited to that too. That may be even closer for you I think. I gotta say I was impressed with how that Poulan handled the locust trunk Monday morning. I can tell you got that chain right - those were some nice chips for low-pro semi chisel. Anyway, I really enjoyed this weekend and hope you guys did too. And I hope I busted any diet plans you might have had. -Shawn
Well, I apologize, I was NOT intending to put words in your mouth. Just that I could see you were surprised, and as you said, you did not expect us on Saturday, that was something we should have PM'd you to say the least. Heh, it would've taken more than one weekend for that conversation. Well, I am glad that I did not shatter any "illusions".. (Eric VW could/should state that I correct that to "allusions", but I'll let it stand.) As to cutting in Shinglehouse, just lemme know when and where. Shinglehouse is about 35 min away, so it's no problem whatsoever. If I ever make 'die't plans, you're more than welcome to break them with a rack of ribs anytime. Once again, thanks for the invite and a great time. (Now I sound like a broken record.)

Looks like a great time was had by all!! I’m pizzed I wasn’t able to make it just to much stuff got in the way. I really wanted to bring the boat up too and get Shawn Curry and Chaz on a tube or some skis
Those stainless steel tables are the bomb. My dad grabbed one for their place down in Yuma, makes a heck of a great table to keep food ready to GO!
