If all goes well, I will have new saw to put through its field trials this weekend. Fingers crossed.!
I picked up a Husqvarna 345XP (a.k.a RedMax/Zenoah). Hence, I am liquidating my trusty/reliable MS251 CBE (see the classified for a great deal!).
Dang! MS241 is my dream saw, but the Husq 346XP came up at a VERY FAVORABLE price. Besides, I wanted to try a Husq saw.
I'm ok with that...but again the closest dealer is 20+ minutes drive and I didn't even know there was a ope dealer there...
wouldn't take much to upgrade from that heavy 029. its been a good saw and I got it cheap and very little used from a coworker.
Ok everyone first and foremost we want everyone involved to have a good time and be safe. So please let me set a few ground rules. As stated before no alcohol. Fields are planted other than the one I left empty for the gtg so please don't drive of the gravel lane. As for the guns and shooting we have no problem at all with that just keep them unloaded when we are not at our slate bank to shoot. I ask that no one goes in the sawmill before or during us running it for our safety and yours afterward feel free to go all through it. Please treat the ground as if it where yours and feel free to walk around the fields and woods. If anyone is cpr or first aid trained let us know in case of an emergency. If anyone has any allergies or is diabetic make sure someone has supplies to treat an emergency. My brother has juvenile diabetes so we can deal with problems should any arise. I think that should cover all the rules and concerns we have. I know some GPS systems won't bring you to the address but once you are on lower and I stress lower piney creek road you can't miss us it runs right through the middle of the farm. Watch for a firetruck and a yellow water tank the lane is on the opposite side of the road and runs between the sawmill and a big light brown building. The field we are using is behind the building and should be big enough to park in also. Thanks for hearing me out and hope this post isn't to hard to follow I don't type this much ever. As always questions and suggestions are welcome.
Shoot it's a 20 minute drive to any dealer for me. Of course I live in the sticks on a dirt road and everything.
