Another use for little cedar logs.....
My 14 year old boy built this goat fence a few weeks ago.

 

Nice job! I take it goats dont eat cedar?

I gotta go make some more bacon....we ran out.... waiting for the weather to be right.

 

They nibble on the bark a bit, but I don't think they'll eat their way out...

 

I hope that "bacon" doesnt have a name!

I didn't even think about portable jobs. That's a great service to offer. Most of the mills have closed around here so I'm sure there is a market for that. Anything having to do with wood is a lot of work. Good to hear your 14yo likes to work with you. Learning how to work is so important for the next generation.

 

We've got only one pig with a name, shes one of our "bacon reproduction technicians".... the rest are just "dinner"

Yes, that's from their re saw......lotta sawdust around there.

 

What do you use it for? Pig pen bedding?

 

That would be some aromatic pig chit…

 

It's not mine, I'm just milling cants for them.

I'm not sure what folks use it for, we don't use cedar for animal bedding because it's not good for composting due to the.... whatever it is that's in the cedar that makes it not good for gardens...

 

It would be an improvement on the regular kinda pig dumps.

 

That's a lot of cedar logs...wow...
