t4driller Mike really helped me along doing the mods to this saw. We (Andrew and I) ran the 2150 he ported at the gtg Kris hosted in the fall. He's also the one to provide the bar. When our schedules allow, I plan learn how to put a degree wheel on it and change timing numbers. All I did so far was get squish right, flat top piston and improve breathing a bit.

Awesome, I'll take you up on that for sure.
And yes, as long as it's black . I kept the dye in five gallon buckets. I don't have the buckets or space to store more colors. Guess I could dump it out...

I'm really impressed with the way this saw turned out.. jealous. you and Andrew did a great job with it. Hopefully I can make it out there soon with a degree wheel to see where it's at and get some lessons on square filing. Bar should be there tomorrow. Can't wait to see the final look...

You need some OAKLAND Raiders graphics to cover up the Husqvarna logo on the bar...

I'm ambivalent about the Pats. They have drafted and played a lot of Michigan grads over the years, including current team members Brady and Branch. Otherwise, meh. Belichick is kind of like the Darth Vader of professional sports, win at all costs. In contrast, Oakland represent all the underdogs/downtrodden in the world. Love to see them have success.

Haha, Vader? Hope I don't miss out on attending a Raider game in Oakland, and in the Black Hole. Bucket list!!!!

We always pull for U of M players around the NFL, which is how he started routing for them (and the GOAT).

I'd root for the Raider over Brady all day long.

    That looks sweet!!

I'd definitely send a few pieces to be dyed if you were gonna do it on the side!! Along with some greenbacks to put in your pocket for doing it!

Any time! ECsaws is you want anything dyed, LMK. I have the mix in a 5 gallon bucket and it costs me zero to stew the parts on my stove.

So t4driller swung by (lol) and showed me how to set up and read a degree wheel on this saw. We laid out lines to change transfer port timing and intake timing. Marked both then spent some time cuttin' square logs. I got around to grinding some yesterday and thought I'd share the pics. This is the first time I've ever changed any port timing. I've widened before but that was the extent. Having fun!

There you can see the transfer lines and the intake floor line. Also marked the piston skirt to widen intake. Not going anywhere near that wide though.

Worked on getting the port flat like the blue line. Also discovered that my burr was to big for the trans ports, so I ordered some to work in there. Carbide Burr Die Grinder Bits Made in USA - Fast Shipping Trying them from that link.

Tips welcome! Like I said, my first true port job using Mike's numbers (which I can't remember 100%).

Very cool. Thanks for sharing the progress. Looks great in all black but the grey cover looked pretty sweet too.
