I plowed both driveways and out along the road so neither of us would get the end of the driveways plowed in by the town plow.

It looks like we'll be in for some colder nights (single digits) until next week so we might put in more firewood tomorrow, that should give us firewood for well over a week.

Our dog starting barking pretty good around 4:55 p.m. tonight, the wife said there was a loud noise. I went outside and looked around but all the trees were up :zip: but when I looked down at the new garage, the snow came off the roof on the right side so tomorrow I'll remove that with the tractor. This was our first slide of the year off the metal roof.

We hit 60 back here today and had some good winds.

My feelings were hurt, while out sanding with the wife she called me a jerk, what should I do?

I did clear out the slide off the metal roof so the water can run around behind the garage. Since I had the tractor out, I went checking for downed trees, we have one small Ash down on the backhill where I plan on cutting this spring.

I'll find out next week when I can get off this light-duty work restriction, I'll also need some snow and ice gone before I start cutting.

The boss made two loaves of banana bread after the name calling so I think she felt shame.

With the warm weather today and again tomorrow with 1 to 1.5 inches of rain forecast, I finally plowed out the entrance to the gully that is near the sandpit. I'll let the sun and rain clear the rest of the gully so I can see if there's anything down across the gully under the snow before I get the Rhino in there so I can start felling some Ash and damaged Yellow Birch.

The backhoe is on the 4540, I want to start removing stumps with it but with me on the doxycycline, they recommend staying out of the sun. Tuesday night is my last time taking it so I'll either hope for cloudy days or wait until next weekend to start stump removal.

This stump was from a dead pine I took down last year, it will be the first stump that gets pulled so I can plow a wider trail in that area during the winter or just not worry about hitting it.

Just screwing around on selling the tractor yooperdave, I finally pulled five stumps back in the sandpit area and two more pine stumps in different areas.

Thanks yooperdave , it should've been done earlier but it's done before winter so that sandpit area will be easier to plow.

I did concentrate on getting some better wood up late summer and fall, more ironwood, beech, sugar maple and some red maple. If the hill in the back lost the ice and snow, I'm thinking about felling some ash trees.

We started with 66 or 67 face cord of hardwood in our inventory so that is a nice feeling.

We received enough snow after Thanksgiving that I plowed a few times but with all the rain we received overnight and today, it's gone.

Thanks T.Jeff Veal , when I should've been digging stumps, I was putting up some better firewood. In late summer and early fall I c/s/s more beech, ironwood, sugar maple and some red maple with one ash tree.

How's everyone in your family doing?

We had our neighbor up for Thanksgiving, I dropped 32.2 pounds from my highest weight this summer so I could put back on a few pounds during the festive season and not worry. My weight this summer hit 234.4.

We have been doing well. Stayed healthy so far. Was working a good bit of OT until August, finally got the new guy trained in our dept. And the side jobs of grass and wood cutting filled in the spare time...lol...we did take about a month in June to remodel our master bath. Master bath remodel...
We took off a week in Sept for our 33rd anniversary. Went to Hilton Head and Charleston SC.
And my hunny has been spoiling the grands...lol...
Hope you and yours have been doing great, as well.

Happy 33rd anniversary and spoil the grands before you send them back home.

I saw one of the bathrooms that you remodeled, great job.

So far we've been good but the cases in our area have really jumped, 148, the next day was 111 and yesterday was 145. The 148 was a total of three days.
