Yes it is. By the looks of the long range forecast, I won't be plowing much snow for about 10 days or longer unless a new system makes its way to the northeast.

After plowing the driveway with our RTV - X1100C, I used the 4540 to push back the banks before the colder weather comes in. We had a bunch of rain last night with the wet heavy snow starting after 4:00 a.m. this morning. I also plowed some walking trails for the wife and dog.

I took the 4540 down to the neighbors, once I turned into the driveway, I could hear the plow coming so I drove the tractor in away from the road, they pushed a chit load of snow into the end of the driveway and both guys had a smile on their face.

Once I was almost done the neighbor's driveway, I could see the wife coming with the dog, we had a power outage so I went home and got the genny started and came back down the road. I see another neighbor start to shovel this heavy wet snow so I stopped to see if it was okay if I plowed their driveway, sure is so I did that and he was happy.

I think this was the heaviest snow that I've plowed in January.

Glad you were able to help out your neighbors and get yours done too. The right equipment sure makes it nice.

It rained like crazy here yesterday, to the point where the grass is poking through what's left of the snow. On the bright side, (except for yesterday) firewood production is going well.

I plowed a few more areas that were never done, that allowed me to put the pallet forks and the FEL up on 4 x 4's in one of the new areas.

We could get another four inches of snow by Wednesday morning. I would like to take the snowmobiles out but my shoulder isn't ready for starting those older machines

We have plenty of pellet ash from last year so today I spread a bunch of it on the driveway, it didn't need it but we had someone coming up the driveway later today.

Later in February and March our driveway gets a ton of ice so I'm saving the sand we use in the 3 pt. sander for then. Usually by this time we've received more rain with the usual freeze coming in after.

This is what I'm saving more wood and pellet ash for along with the sand, I think last year we used about 15 bags of sand.

I leave snow on the driveway too but when you get the warmer temps with the stronger sun and freezing at night, it doesn't matter much what was on the top of the driveway.

There comes a time when I'm better off scraping it down when it's slushing up during the day before it freezes again at night.

I find that scraping ice can (somtimes) result in a zamboni type result :hair:, but then sometimes, so does just a little melting. :headbang:

In Canada before they put down a new sheet of ice on the driveway, they stop at Tim Hortons for a cup.

Someone in Alberta rode a Zamboni to a Tim Hortons drive-thru
We had another 4 plus inches of snow so I plowed again and then cleaned out the area where we put in wood with the 4540. It wasn't the heavy stuff like we received days back.

I did do the neighbors driveway and a few trails near the fireplace.

With the cold and some wind moving in, I put five gallons of fuel in the 4540 and pushed back some banks even further but before I did that, I scraped down our driveway (two inches of snow) and did our neighbor's driveway down the road.

I used the 4540 to widen some trails and push more snowbanks back on certain parts of the driveway. I also pulled the snow back in front of the outside fireplace and pushed that out of the way, hopefully I'll have a nice fire out there this week.

We put in two small loads of firewood before I put the tractor away. It was mostly Ash with some Cherry, Red Maple and some Sugar Maple.

Our firewood we plan on burning in February is stacked up in an area that can be tricky to get at because there's a drop on the left side which can cause the tires to slide down so I'll put some chains on the back of the Rhino. I was going to move it out of that area but last springs felling gave us some nice Beech and some Sugar Maple that are residing in the area it would've been stacked.

With the two days of snow we had, we only received 8-9 inches of sugar snow. Today I plowed our driveway and the neighbors, he also will be running low on wood in another two weeks so I put the forks on the tractor to fluff up some of the wood frozen in under the snow.

I didn't take the camera with me but I opened up some trails that a certain slacker hadn't plowed in a few weeks. I also plowed out around the outside fireplace (hopefully a fire soon) and pulled some snow away from some ironwood, sugar maple and beech that we plan on burning in February, we'll start putting in the sugar maple and beech tomorrow.

The Lake Effect hit us overnight and today, things got crazy out there when I was pushing back the banks along the driveway.

I still have some plowing left but I'll save that for tomorrow.

Picture 1480 is a deer up on the backhill and 1482,83 and 84 are more deer hanging around. I did plow about four trails that I didn't get to yesterday.
