Thanks! I was thinking the same thing. Things passed down from our beloved family memebers that have left us are very special. I have gathered a lot of special items dear to my heart over the years.
The fence is coming slow. The heat has slowed me down some days. A little overtime here and there as well. Family time, etc. But I have about 75-80% of the post in. My wife is ready to bring the spoiled one, I mean, the horse home.
I'm late to the party...... Anyhow awesome tractor man! You will very quickly find yourself wondering how you ever got along without it. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
this is very true you friends and family will be... oh can you come help me with xxxx I've been wanting to do for years...
It came today around 2, after the guys showed us certain things it was time we drove it, we're both glad we went with our first choice, it seems like a beast. After I drove it I saw the wife coming down the driveway already to take a few laps with it, she really like it too. She looked like she had been driving a tractor all her life so once she was done I moved some wood over to the splitter area and then called it a day. Tomorrow if things go well, I plan on taking down some dead pine in certain areas near the trail so we can get around the woods easier. We'll have to order that crusher run for the driveway real soon.
Awesome machine!!!! More pictures please. Them Mahindras are absolute monsters. They really have amazing value with a ton of power and weight compared to competitors. I looked very hard at the 2538 and probably would have bought it if the used Kubota 3710 hadn't miraculously fallen into my lap. Sometimes I still wonder...
If the rain holds off tomorrow, I'll be making the trails wider in certain areas. I did make it around a good portion of the trails around the house with the tractor. mike bayerl , I think we would've been happy with a orange or green tractor too, some of the work around here just became easier. We'll be ordering that crusher run tomorrow, that should get me use to the bucket controls.
That thing is a beast........very nice Woody! Can't wait for more pics....... a little jealous here Congratulations! This is a well deserved piece of machinery. The thing will make life so much easier!
Glad it arrived safe and sound thewoodlands. Remember, keep your bucket low, especially when loaded, so center of gravity states low. The backhoe will make a huge difference in weight for the rear. Once it's on you will see what I mean after working it a while. But the three point hitch implements are very useful! Tell the misses she can have the pen back to write down pallet forks for front, and a heavy duty York rake for back! And eventually a brush hog. Then take the pen away again. Oh the driveway and trails will look sooooo nice.
You didn't ask, but I can definitely recommend the DR (Earth & Turf) 3pt log hitch. It's a simple, heavy-duty fixture with a hook for a chain log choker and a nice 2" receiver for any hitch. Add to that a choker chain any decent choker chain, and you will be able to skid any log you can think of. It's a nice balance of solid build and function at a fair price (made in USA). However, if you can afford a real 3 pt logging winch, absolutely go for it.
x 10 brush hog to keep trail open... berry bushes eat you up! York rake to fix pot hole drive way and 1000 other uses pallet forks to crate fire wood and move lift stuff.... just today buddy came with his truck and dolly to get 80 gallon pool pump full of wet sand... I figure it weighed close too 300# could we have got in truck without tractor bucket yes... did we hell NO
