Nice work! Looks like you guys are in for about the same as us. I am off Thursday so I will have lots of cleanup time. I Might use the walk behind blower for some of it as I stay warmer and just did the rubber flap upgrade to the impeller. It chucks the snow 3 times further now.
We have an older JD 826 walk behind snowblower that throws the snow real good but we've only used it once in the last two years. Because of the ice under the snow on the driveway, I'll have to watch how low the plow is because we want 2 or 3 inches left on there.
I didn't take any pictures but I cleared both driveways today, the snow is a very dry so it was easy going. I left enough on the driveway that it's covering the ice which makes it easy to walk on.
Beautiful outside after that fluffy stuff fell! Watching the pines sway covered in snow- nothing finer! A few inches tomorrow night into the evening. How about your way?
Yes, it's always nice when you have that extra power when you need it. Most of our snow this year has been a very dry snow, not much water in our snow this year but that will change in March or late February.
Sounds great! I still need to get the diesel additive, so far so good though. What kind of plow do you have? Mahindra?
I decided to take more snow off the driveway but leave enough on it that we can walk on it, it's still all ice underneath. After that I pushed some snowbanks back where I could, some are still like rock.
The areas in the shaded spots are still blocks of ice here too. Still spritzing outside due to freeze up even more
I don't think we're in for much freezing precipitation or ice for us. The sleds were out running down the road to the county trails so I'll have to be careful when plowing down near the road tomorrow, they fly down the road.
I took a walk down our driveway after 6, it wasn't bad but tomorrow morning will be a different story. I think we have two garbage cans full of ash so we'll use that instead of sand further away from the house.
That's a good idea. Will be slick until this week's major warm-up! I'm seeing close to 50°F for a day!
In the next ten day outlook, we have four days that will be 40 to 44. This month hasn't been bad temp or snow wise so it makes me wonder what we'll be in for come March for snow.
We used the tractor to pull the snowmobile trailer out of the woods so we could load up the sleds...done. After putting the trailer back I pushed back some snowbanks on one side of the driveway, I did try the opposite side but they were pretty stiff. Tomorrow I'll take the plow off so I can put the bucket on, hopefully I can move some snow from a certain part of the driveway to the woods like I did last year.
