Aptly named thread! Gasifier you have been way too kind thus far. They have shown they don't stand very well behind their products, so what makes you want another tractor from them?!

Fingers & toes crossed for you. What did they finally determine to be causing the problem?

I don’t have much time. Lots to do and then driving.

Short at the back of the fuse panel. The mechanic said he chased this problem for 2 1/2 days. So the ECM, I think that must be the Electronic Control Module? So that was powered most of the time but when the short occurred it created bad codes and maybe problems with maybe the fuel something or other? Creating havoc.

I wish the dealer or Mahindra would have at least called me and said sorry for all your problems and here is what I (we) can do for you. Is that too much, for me to be thinking, now that they fixed it for me? After all this?

    Gotta run ........ TTYL

So let me ask all of your opinions on this subject. do you think that I’m out of line to expect the dealer or Mahindra to say were sorry for all your problems and then offer me something for all of my lost time and frustrations ?

Your dealer should be trying to keep you happy. Yes they should do something. They have been less than adequate up to this point. I wouldn't hold my breath that this will change.

Glad its back, hopefully IT IS fixed, time will tell. As seen on You Tube, these tractors are prone to ALOT of electrical problems, an Achilles heel I would say. You are absolutely dead bang on re compensation of some sort, but alas I doubt you will see it. Good luck with it, I hope it keeps on ticking so that you might get some work out of it.

No I don't think it is out of line to expect a peace offering or apology, however; I wouldn't hold my breath while waiting for it either. Maybe a discount on a future purchase from that dealer since they sell darn near everything now. The important thing is they fixed it, even though it took a ridiculously long time for them to figure it out, they cant replace the time lost unfortunately.

I would think that Mahindra would step up to the plate now. They made it. It’s their quality control problem. Right?

Back up what they put all over their website. “Mahindra. Toughest Tractors On Earth.” “True Grit Never Taps Out.”

And under the 3500 series. “These premium performers offer super-powered 4WD and the gusto to go after medium to heavy-duty agriculture, industrial, or other applications.”

A simple phone call now that it is fixed to say we are sorry for all your problems with your tractor. And your lost time on your projects.
And here is a certificate for _________ off an implement that will gradually help save you some of that time back that you lost.

And we really appreciate your business.

I don't know how mahindra operates. Any rewards or rebates/freebies I've received from Agco/CNH/Deere come tied to the servicing dealer. Never been through what you have though.

So great to see you back in action and without having to call in the lawyers!!

It would be nice if somebody from Mahindra or the dealer would at least call in a couple days to see how you are making out with the tractor. Doesn’t sound like that will be the case from Mahindra but your dealer sounds pretty good so maybe they will. Possibly they will give you a great deal on an implement when you go in for one down the road.

The lawyers ALWAYS make their money, win or lose. So, you should ask for some compensation beyond what you've lost, be it actual money, or freebies.
