If your Buddy/neighbor has a rosebud for his torch a couple strong trees and a come-along you should be in good shape. Although, you might want to pick up some red paint.

He is going to think on it over night. He was finishing up a project and has another 30 minute job in the morning. Then he will start on mine. He's a smart and talented guy. Hopefully he can fix it and make it stronger. One issue will be if he can get it lined back up right so it works with all attachments again.

Sounds like my FIL. That guy can fix bent and broken stuff like nobody I've ever seen. I've seen him weld teeth (build up with weld) on a gear and grind the profile with a body grinder to get a farmer back in the field on a Sunday during harvest season.

My neighbor is a retired teacher. He taught welding/machinists course to high school students for BOCES. He is a machinest by trade. Isn't crazy about welding anymore but will do an occasional job to help someone out. His father, who passed several years ago, was a welder/fabricator who could work wonders. Just uncanny. And he and his wife were great neighbors! His son is also another very good problem solver, lives down the road further but works in his shop next door. His sister lives next door. The two of them are also great neighbors.

From looking at the pictures, I think it can be straightened. It may be as simple as pulling against an immovable object with the quick attach. The bent piece is not a structural part. It just keep the curl cylinders on the loader connected so when you go to connect to an implement the quick attach halves do not move independently.

Things are not as simple as they look in the pictures. It is bent and twisted in several places. Going to be tough to straighten it so it's right again. He is considering cutting the center right out and build a new center between the quick attach mechanisms. :picard:

Called to Price a new one. Probably $800, waiting to hear exactly and how long to get it. Biggest problem is it could take a week to ten days to get it. UGH! I don't have that time. I need it now for all the work I want to do while I'm on vacation. :picard:

Cut it in half and put it on the bucket and use it. Then fix it right later when you have the time.

Beat me to it. As long as you aren't wanting to swap forks/grapple/bucket all the time. You could still do it, but it would take a longer to swap.

The are also universal quick attaches on eBay pretty cheap. Just cut off your pin mounting points from yours and weld them to the new one.

As long as the bracket isn't tweaked too bad that should work. Might have to shut the tractor off to relieve pressure to manually equalize the curl cylinder pressure and length. Cut the cross tie (blue line) had have a go. Like my dad says, "it ain't working the way it is".

Exactly what I was thinking too...cobble it together how ever you can to make it functional for now...make it nice and pretty later. Heck, maybe even weld the bucket on if need be. If there is a torch, welder and grinder around then almost anything is possible with some skills and creativity...

Neighbor is making some progress now with some heat and force.

The Wood Chop Shop's mechanic came up with an idea. (They are also pricing a new one and seeing how fast they could get it.) but the mechanics idea was let's see if we have a tractor in stock at one of the stores that has the same loader and see if we can steal the quick attach off it and put the new one on that when it gets here. Hmm. Owner didn't think of that.

So I'm waiting on them to call back. And neighbor is still working on this twisted one.

I said to the guys at the Wood Chop Shop, that pin should not have come out. I realize the warranty probably won't cover it but they should be able to do something to help me out on the cost. I was honest with them and said I know I was working it pretty hard. But that is what they are built to do.

    Ugh.
