That did not make any sense. Chuck has really go down health wise. The last I saw a photo of Chuck, he had lost all the muscles he use to have. He is on in age now and that is one of the biggest things about health when aging, losing muscle mass.

Yes, just worked on trying to get a new domain in place for an existing website; adding to the name servers and getting a redirect for the old domain. Also worked on making a lot of changes in a platform today and after a lot of hair pulling it appears to be working. Problems getting a payment system working for a client in Colorado using PayPal; they won't let me have access to the account as if I can steal the money without a paper trail pointing to me.

I got out of computer systems; not enough customers wanting high end systems, they all wanted a $300 system with monitor; I would tell them to go to Dell. The profit margins in computer systems was razor thin before Dell entered the market with their cheap systems; then Lenovo cut into Dell's profits with their slave labour farms. Dell shut down their plant in Winston Salem, North Carolina. I tried to get a position with Dell in Winston Salem even though it would be a long drive each morning and evening but they did not want me.

What is ABB? South Boston, would hate to think about making that drive each day.

I don't recall seeing the actual measurement of how much/how little the tab overlaps the glass. How much?

    How much should it overlap?

Is it a realistic safety concern? Or would it take a "break an anvil with a glass hammer" kind of person to damage it?

What testing have you done to confirm if it is indeed a design flaw?

Do you suppose you know more about stove design than Englander stove works?

    Just curious.

No, I was being serious. I told them to go to Dell because there was no way I could build a $300.00 system. Of course those $300 Dell systems would freeze under heavy loads; Celeron processors and inadequate memory.

All information may not be in this post but the gasket fell out of place and the glass was loose in the stove; there was an air leak due to the loose glass. Four small tabs that barely even contacts the glass. It really is a safety concern. I don't leave a fire in the stove at night any more. A fully loaded stove stuff as some have shown on the forums and the glass was to come loose and fall forward towards the firebox would create enough of a draft that the stove would overfire as well as the single wall flue pipe causing a serious condition. I also don't leave a fire in the stove when I am going to be away from home. If it happened once as it did to me, it can happen again. I am going to address making new tabs.

One does not have to be a stove designer to realise an issue in design. In this thread is a photo of how they do it; or use to do it, for the 30-NC. Compare that to the new glass retainer on the Madison and then give your opinion; seriously, I welcome what you think about the new glass retainer design. I am not happy with it myself and others have also voiced an opinion that they did not like it.

OK, you are confusing me. I thought you thought I was being humorous about telling people to go to Dell and I was saying that I actually did tell them to go to Dell; which I did. It is all good though; Big Hugs. Why don't we have a Big Hugs smiley? Could be because it is mostly men on the site and they don't usually give hugs.

You do realize how this could be taken as very humorous, don't you?

Entry level? I gave up looking for jobs because there were no entry level jobs, 15 to 20 years I don't have. I will check them out though; thanks.

yooperdave Yes, you are correct, with a proper paycheque the long drive is not so long but it was the thought of where I need to go. The last engineering type job I applied for was going to be a 50 minute drive or so; the guy didn't like the sound of that because if I was needed ASAP, it would be 50 minutes before I could be on site. That meant the line would be down for an hour plus the time for me to get it back up and time is money.
