I think the loophole link missed out that if a company is based in a certain country, then that country can be the listed on the UPC, and not where it's actually made.
Ariens OPE is made in the USA, in Brillion, Wisconsin Kohler engines, and plumbing ( toilets, sinks, faucets, shower heads) are mostly made in the USA, Mercury marine outboards an inboards made in Wisconsin. one of my favorites is from wisconsin Mepps Spinners, Hand Assembled In The USA | Mepps Spinners & Spoons
Benchmade Knives & Custom Pocket Knives | Benchmade Knife Company Benchmade knives are made in the USA as are some Kershaw. While I like the design and looks of most Kershaw, I've never buy one that wasn't USA made. Look for the flag on the package. (Not my blades, just showing for example)
https://www.dunlopmotorcycletires.com/ For you 2 wheelers, Dunlop is thee only manufacturer to design test, produce and support motorcycle tires in the good 'ol US of A.
They still will buy squirrel tails for their rooster tail spinners too. Or kids can trade for spinners. Grey squirrel I believe. Unfortunately we only have red, and flying squirrels up here
That's how I got a bunch of mepps lures as a kid. They'd give you more equivalent value in lures for tails. IDK if they still do that. I would sell them any squirrel tails, even red. Edit;. Yes they do. Hunting Squirrels Can Improve Your Fishing - Mepps Press Release
Also I know most, if not all flying squirrels are endangered and protected, and can't be shot without a special permit. Might want to verify this beforehand.
Lots of good high quality boots made in the USA but I think my favorite affordable option would have to be Thorogood. Apologies if this has already been mentioned but I haven't gone through all the pages. Anyway great boots, usually cheaper and pretty sure more American made than Red Wing who at this point is like 50% American. I used to be all about Red Wing until I bought a pair of Thorogood moc toes this year which are not only far better built than my Red Wing equivalents but significantly cheaper. BRP is split up by brand, sleds are all made in Canada. ATV/UTV Canada and Mexico depending on what one. Spyder/Ryker Mexico and US. Evinrude depends on what size. Some are actually Tohatsu, larger ones are made in the USA. John Deere has become a shamble of factories. 1 series are mostly made in (I believe) India, but definitely overseas. Certain mowers are MTD
Of course. There's certain lines of nearly every company that has us made product that isn't made in the USA. Regarding the evinrudes, per the journal sentinel from 2012.. " Bombardier now makes the bulk of its Evinrude engines, up to 300 horsepower, in Sturtevant. Most of the production is done on an assembly line that can handle different products at the same time. One small-engine line was repatriated from China, said Frank Bailey, director of operations." So certainly the largest ones are made in sturtevant as well. It makes sense as Evinrude was founded in Milwaukee in 1907. I just looked and amazingly, that the largest engine they make is still only 300 hp. Mercury has a 450 hp outboard, and I believe yamaha has a 400 hp.
