Interesting. Do the southern Nature's Own bags state "Product of USA"? If we can confirm that, then there are really two versions of Nature's Own. I hope that is not the case, as it makes life more confusing. I hope that Energex did not put two different products in the same labelled bag -- to have a Canada 60% Softwood blend version vs a USA 100% Hardwood version. If a southern Nature's Own, 100% hardwood version exists, it might be just a short-run small batch to fill a temporary shortage. I would want to see some concrete evidence of photos of a Nature's Own bag stating Product of USA.
They actually say "Made in America" I'd have to dig through all the threads for pics but they were definitely Chows and not FSU's in the bag.
Could someone provide photos of the bag where is shows both Nature's Own and Product of USA. ? Or post some correspondence from someone inside Energex who will confirm this? I realize that some people have talked about the color and smell of the pellets, but that is too subjective of evidence. There are many factors that determine the color of pellets, such as oven drying time.
Hi IHatePropane, Thank you. O.K. It definitely states Made in America which would be the PA Plant. What does the front of the bag look like? My bags of Nature's Own have purple on the edges.
Orson, if you have the bags with firesides in them can you post the same pictures IHP did including one of the UPC as well?
HI IHatePropane, Thanks for both of the those photos. What Lowe's Store did you purchase from? I could not tell for sure from the photo, but does it state Nature's Own above FUEL. When I return home tonight, I will take another look at my bags and post the UPC number. Your photos like like my bags. My bags state Products of Canada. My bags came from Lowe's, Epping, NH. It looks like we need to get the word out that when you see a bag of Nature's Own in a Lowe's Store, or when talking to Customer Service over the phone, that a person should check whether the bag is from Canada or American. The American version of "Nature's Own" would be a 100% hardwood == to Stove Chow as 100% hardware is the only product of the Energex PA, USA mill.
Yes it says Natures Own. Not the best pic, I admit. These were from the Lowe's in Killingly CT. Super deal and super delivery services from them.
Hi IHatePropane, I appreciate your patience and efforts to provide the information on the American-made version of Nature's Own. I think what I should do is call the Energex PA salesperson whom I have been talking to over the years, and tell him the dilemma that we have discovered in the two versions of Nature's Own. He is *usually* forthcoming, but he sometimes has to be careful about what he says regarding the product that the BBS receive vs the dealers.
That's a bit optimistic. We couldn't even get correct word if they had FULL TONS FOR $99 form our lowes Sunday and Monday
O.K. This sure adds to the evidence of a Canadian version vs an American version of Nature's Own. And the American Nature's Own is common in CT.
Both Kenny and Ryan. I am still kind of new on this and the other forum. Are we permitted to name names? Or is that against the forum policy?
Yes, Iron Stove, 100000000% correct. Lowes tells me different stuff between different stores, different days of the week, even different from the Lowe's website. I drove to the Lowe's Rochester, NH to put my name and tag on four tons of Nature's Own, to make sure I would receive the brand I wanted. Understandable, I was not permitted to and I do not want to open the plastic of the pallets at the store. Funny thing, when the pallets arrived Tuesday and Wednesday at my house, only two to the pallets were the same pallets that I put my name and tags on.
Got my delivery today. Here is what I got from Lowe's : 3 Timber Heat 4 Greene Supremes 5 Natures Own I am a happy piggie
