Snuck 2 more trailers full on the racks today.

Probably noodle the elm into quarters too. No one wants the crap so I’ll season it and decide later.

Today I finished up all the rounds, even the elm. With my privacy wall/stack stuffed, it turns out to be 4.5 cords. And I only used about 1/4 of the last trailer load so I just started pileing them up. I’m out of room!!

I’d guess all these splits would easily total 5 cord. 2trailers today plus this:

So I’m going to have to bring some in to make room to stack. Heck of a predicament. :emb:

With the proximity of the woodpile to the metal roof, aren't you worried about the snow sliding off and knocking the piles down?

Sure wouldn't get away with that around these parts.

    At any rate, nice job!

That got us once. These stacks are very well built. We took a good amount of time to make sure splits were packed tight. The snow slides somewhat quickly so it won’t be a huge rush all at once. The one that did fall was Apple, which can be a bit hard to stack real stable. I wouldn’t be able to take apple that high.

So I finally got around to sawing up some of the length wood Sat. Since my boy really isn’t fond of firewood any longer, I had to come up with a plan. I thought about building a wood saw buck or crib. I hardly ever bring home logs this long so the crib was out. Started searching the net for sawbuck ideas and this popped up on craigs.

The guy was asking $45 so I bought it. Turns out I really like it. It works very well.

Cut a bit more yesterday. I’m out of room on my stacks till I carry more to the basement, so it’ll get piled till then. Sure is slow going when you’re by yourself!!

I didn't really get that either till the seller shared this vid with me. He also had one for $65 that was similar to the other model in the vid. He advised that one wasn't as stable with heavier logs.

I'd totally recommend one to anyone in need of a device. It works great. As you can see in the one pic, I ganged 3 small limbs together.

I figured it would be something simple and that works great. Me and XXL here were just yacking about those and he can get me one up in Toronto for $18.

I really didn't want to be climbing all over the pile to saw and I wanted to sort the small stuff that didn't need split. Here's the other one he has for sale.

That style would be much quicker.

I don't know any other way to link it, I do it the same way as any others, copy the URL and paste it in here, that's just the way Amazon has it set up, I am assuming you're not using Chrome is why you cannot see it, is that right?
I will try this Forest Master
