I finally got around to splitting about 1-1/2 cord of rounds that have been sitting. I bought my log splitter from my sister about 10 years ago, it had already seen plenty of action, and it's been a work horse for me. As I was nearing the end of my rounds, I had the splitter in vertical mode and just happened to notice something fall off of it. I picked it up and it turned out to be an adjustment gib, about 2 minutes later the 2nd one falls off. I'm fortunate I happened to see them fall out. I guess I get to work on the splitter today and figure out what and how it needs to be fixed.
