Fabz said a bunch of times that this saw wouldn’t take to porting ..... didn’t need porting.......... and that his was as good as or better than any ported MS261.
I never said this saw “wouldn’t take to porting” nor did I say that mine was “as good or better than any ported 261” I simply stated that with the mods I do to em I couldn’t justify spending $300 for another 10-15% gain ... don’t know where you are pulling these “quotes” from sir but I have an idear !!

Listen up guys, I don't give two chits who says what, the bickering and bantering has got to stop. It using too much of our moderator's and admins time up trying to keep the peace and clean up thesee threads hour after hour. This is the last time were going to say it.

If you can't stand a person that badly on here, use the "block user" feature. It's really easy and saves us all the aggravation.

Saw modified threads tend to bring out worst in some guys that modify them. It's really humorous to watch. I've been seeing and hearing it since the early 80s. The internet just allows guys that run their mouth to not get the ---t beat out of them.
That's how arguments get settled in logging camps.

Thank you sir. Very disturbing and there is no place for it here. I've seen/heard this type of behavior on "the other sites", please don't permit it here. The smell is putrid.

It’s been “removed” look at the top of the muffler on a 261c and you will see the resistance welds ... basically the exhaust has to hit the front of the muffler ; bounce back thru the baffle and then go out for the side ... splitting the rolled seam on the muffler and separating the 2 halves is the best way to remove it imho

It’s kinda pita to split ; remove baffle and put back together but worth it imho for the gains ... does make it LOUDER though !

There IS a baffle on the 261c sir ! Look at the top of your muffler when it is removed from jug - you will see tiny resistance welds ... this is what holds the baffle on to the muffler ... on the pic you displayed previously with the large opening on the side shine a light inside ... you will see it !
