I had about 5 paragraphs typed... I am to to even post it.. Maybe later. Different people spend differently. They make different incomes and they have their own retirement plan. One word of advise... You spend your money and I will spend mine. And for the record. Anything you buy is an investment. An investment of your time and your money. Your ROI differs on different investments? But everything is an investment. Period. Whether it's a saw, an IRA, a stock, or your 401k.. Your economics have failed you.... Sorry for the derail folks.
True I am not saying you can't invest how you want. I am just saying that I would argue its not an investment, that would be by my definition. And I in no way think your bad with money Dex dont mean out to come across like that. From reading your posts you are very fiscally responsible. Seriously man sorry to anger you. I consider you a good friend. Well maybe more like a. Brother. We can get along with each other have a knock down drag out out back and be fine the next day. At least I hope. And all this comes from a guy with more than 7 saws, 3 trucks , 1 suv a car 2 boats (down from 3).I spend on stuff too!
I have no clue yet until they get here and I get into rebuilding and how much plastic it will need. I would think stock will be $500~ and ported maybe $650.
I ordered a gasket set and seals for one to have on hand. I hope to make one out of the 2 when they get here and sell it to finance building the second. I ordered all the parts for the 394 today. All new gaskets and seals with a piston. I have some bearings already that will fit if I need them.
That's PHO, correct? I am going to buy a 16" bar for my 441 and have a bunch of 24/25" inch chains for the 441 that would go on a 660.
Yeah I don't usually sell bars unless I get a ton of them hanging around. I hope I can get them rebuilt and ready to go for around the price mark. Its hard to do with stihls if you use all OEM parts. My free 046 costs me over $400 by the time it was done.
Yep a saw in a box can get expensive with stihl!! My 650 that I paid $20 for and I did not touch the P/C or crank case ended up close to the $250 mark and that was with all aftermarket plastic and tank.
Yes they are...any new saw be it husky or stihl pro are very expensive..my 441c from the dealer was $970...and then another $300 for a port job..$1300 in 1 chainsaw..not counting loops and bars....most people would think im crazy....well everyone but u guys
We can work something out. I know aftermarket plastic Oh...we still think you are crazy, but we know we are too.
