    doug fir is pretty prevalent in most of the good retail outlets out there......

    although you are spoiled with Doug Fir from being out west, here it commands $330 -$360 a ton because of shipping / handling costs.

    you could look at some very good alternative softwoods like LaCrete or EZBlaze for much less money.

    And that's on the low side, lol. RF is going to charge $380/ton for the Okie DFs and Wood pellets dot com is charing $400/ton for whatever DF pellet they are peddling these days. :eek:
