My wife's been away for a week. She just came home today, just in time to see the stove job completed. I was worried she wouldn't like the green either but the first thing she said was how well it matched the valences and the furniture! Yes! I told her I knew she would like it! :dex::salute::D

Keep in mind that Harman recommends setting the feed at 4 and leaving it there.

Yes,actually 3.5,but whatever, depends on the year Harman says stuff.Do not run the feed low.I experimented a lot(cause I do repair stoves on occasion)mine stays on 4.If you start adding corn or grains to burn, then it would be different.

Yup! It's about time something went right (Oooooo shouldn't have said that!). The color is cool. It looks black in low light but really pops during the day or when the overhead lights are on.

Thought I would drop in and give a quick update on the Accentra. First and foremost, I am used to setting the heat (feed) level of the stove and running it off the wall thermostat. I had the Baby on a setting that would run at the heat setting I chose when the thermostat called for heat then when it was satisfied it would drop down to the lowest heat setting. At night I would turn the thermostat down and, although the stove was running when I got up, the room could be quite cold.

It's taken me a week to understand the Accentra. I watched videos, read the owners manual, read these forums and now I understand how the little devil operates.
When it was warmer out I ran it in Room Temp with the ignitor in Auto. Now that it is colder I am finding that running in Room Temp with the ignitor in Manual is working great. The room temp has stayed at 68 as I watch the feed motor kick on and the flame get big, then the convection blower kicks up for a few minutes then everything slows down when the room temp comes up. My pellet usage hasn't gone up much if at all. The freekin' glass stays clean! (That was my wife's biggest gripe with the Baby) . Oh, did I mention it's quiet?

It has yet to break a sweat but that may change in the next few days when that Arctic blast roars in. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait!
    Bottom line, I think it's a keeper.

I find when in stove mode with ignitor off(manual), the convection fan shuts off and I waste heat out the chimney. It's more for a flame show from what I understand. Having the auto ignition on the fan doen't shut off so less wasted heat.

I agree in part. Even though the fan is off, my digital temp readout is showing 260 degrees just inside the discharge grate. The stove is hot! You can see the waves of heat radiating off the stove and the room right now is 70 degrees. I may be wasting some pellets, but the room is staying toasty. I tried it in Auto, and the room temp fluctuated 3 to 5 degrees. It's 24 out too.

The new stove looks great Chandler. I hope you love it (and I know you will)! Always fun to tinker and learn by playing with the settings.

Agreed with when in stove temp to keep the igniter in Auto-you can adjust the convection blower down to almost off with he potentiometer

The Manual setting in stove temp is known to be an ambiance setting so you can watch a fire like a fireplace-yes much of the heat goes out the exhaust unless you have the heat setting high enough to kick on the convection blower (I think around 4?)

In the end, do what works for you. Heck after almost 10 years I found that my fan setup (fans for moving air upstairs, not the stove fan) works better in a different config than what I have been using

Looks great, have fun playing with the new toy!!

yea, when it gets cold, really cold, I switch to STOVE temp mode (you don't really need to put the igniter in manual....STOVE mode will run continuously and not shut down)....the ESP controls your distribution fan as far as it going on and off.....over a certain temp on the ESP, the dist fan comes on....fairly low temp, (like 155 degrees)...

The reason I take it out of room temp mode is that I am heating my whole place with it, and I still use the room temp probe. The problem is, the room temp probe will regulate the stove, but I really need more heat in the far places of the home, so, need a more constant heat. Has to be a protracted below zero cold snap though
