LW, so how would this connect to my venting? Looks like the adapter slips inside? Man I wish I could talk to y'all in person. Looking at the pictures makes it tough to envision.

So, as I see it, this adapter is for 4 inch DuraVent. It has a 4 inch pipe coming out. You took a 4 inch muffler pipe and welded it on. The tapered fitting on the Harman is 3 3/8 at it's narrowest....probably 3 1/2 at it's widest. How did you neck down the 4 inch pipe to fit?

The 3 to 4 T adapter will still not slip over my 3 3/8 tapered exhaust outlet. My Baby has a 3 inch outlet. I wonder if it would expand with my muffler pipe expander?

The Harman adapter is tapered, stupid,in my opinion, after using an Integra for years, that came with a clamp on adapter.I had to use 4" because high altitude.3" or 4" exhaust tubing is a fairly tight fit on the Harman adapter.Remember, exhaust tubing/flue tubing adapters are measured on the outside.

How far off was your offer? Think he may change his mind if it doesn't sell?

ChandlerR , if you want to adapt to 4" pipe directly off the appliance adapter, for the Harman stove it looks like the part # is: 3PVP-X4ADHB

    http://www.duravent.com/docs/product/pvp_harman_adapter_web.pdf

Or use a 3"->4" adapter, use a 3" -> 4" Tee, or "roll your own" like BadBob did.

*I'm still happy to do those measurements: but you are using 4" pipe - the 45 elbows I have here are for 3" pipe, measurements will be different / will not apply to your setup, unfortunately.

Thanks CF. That looks to be exactly what I need. I'm all set with the measurements, thank you. I am going to angle my T and use just one 45 elbow. If it's available, I'll order one tonight and when it comes in, I'll get to work. I can't wait to have this thing cranking in here!

It's funny, I ran it in my shop with the door open and it still heated it enough that I was able to spend some time cleaning it. Once i get it in here, then I'll get serious. my wife will be so happy but no way will she touch it until i give her lessons. my baby has one button she pushes. this thing has three knobs!!!! :bug:

Going with the P61 is a smart choice. It puts out more BTU's than the Accentra and you can purchase a hopper extension that will allow you to go longer between reloads.

Okay, I didn't explain that well. Put on the Harman adapter (which 3 people have given different links for), then hook up the T to that - then hook up the 4" exhaust to the 4" part of the T.

Personally, I guess I would nix the Duravent and get ICC Excel...….you remove the cast iron stove nipple on the stove and bolt on the new one....even comes with the gasket.....much more secure than RTV'ing the Simpson back on...and it doesn't leak. Youll have to tape and RTV to ATTEMPT not to get your Duravent to leak....its why we don't use it anymore. I do understand you already have pipe ordered, etc, so this will likely not be an option you choose.....basically, new (to you) stove = new pipe.

When I was at Home and Hearth, they looked up what I would need to use the exhaust they use. I forgot the name but it's all stainless, laser cut and seamless. To do my piping would be $700 in parts. :bug: They said they use it because it works so well and they never have to deal with issues.:bug: It's also larger than my DuraVent so I would need to replace my thimble.

I may reconsider if I have issues. Knock on wood, I have never had a whiff of smoke smell in 12 years.

Hey, I have a question...What the heck is this switch for? Nothing in the manual. Under the switch it's stamped LOW

My guess would be the blower fan switch (which I don't see on your panel). But knowing absolutely zero about that particular model, don't actually know the answer.

If it is for the blower fan, one is low and the other is high. I keep mine on high, others keep theirs on low. It is more a function of what you are trying to accomplish in your circumstances.

Hi/Low fan switch? I have a variable pot on the P68 and only switch is for igniter Auto/Manual. Maybe the smaller stoves have the switch, but my honey's XXV is the same as mine-no hi/low switch.
