I read "somewhere" that a local stove shop told someone that the Hamer's Lowe's is selling is a high/higher ash and moisture content than the "regular" Hot Ones. If that's the case, I don't know why they wouldn't have just bagged them in the Clean Energy bags. The few bags I got burned good for me and did not have a high ash content at all.
That sounds like BS to me , stove shop is pizzed because Lowe's is prolly under cutting them on price. I'm kind of surprised that Hamer sold regular Hamer's to Lowe's and not the re bagged version Clean Energy that's how the pellet company protects the pellet dealer , maybe they don't care any more . I'm sure it comes down to $$$ it's always the bottom line.
X2 on the BS from the stove shop...cant blame them though as they are being undercut and good chance that their salesman/distributor told them this wouldnt happen. From Hamers side, it can very well be an overstock of already bagged pellets. Just guessing though
Yep, BS to make their stuff look better and worth the extra $$ they are fetching. About the only difference we'll see is batch variance. Nothing difference in the process besides a different bag. And since they had bag supply issues we've even seen the Hamer bags at the local box stores.
