Longer bar advice

    I like the idea of a 22” bar but never saw one. Mind me asking where you found it?

    I don't use the 395 with 32" bar very often ,but when felling something large it is nice not to have to cut from both sides making the notch. It is also nice to bore cut clear through and not have to go to the other side

    Not at all. It found me. Came with a barely used Stihl MS361 i bought two Summers ago along with 18" Stihl bar on the saw. I never thought id use it, but after a couple times i really grew to love it. It can handle bigger wood, without the unweildiness (is that a word) of a longer bar.

    Longer bars can also suck. I have Stihl 59" that wiggles like a lasagna noodle with teeth.
    My 42" is a bit better but still kinda sucks.
    For the money I paid Stihl I sure was disappointed.

    I milled with a 50" Cannon once. That thing was solid!
