New to the club too. Found it looking for instructions on changing hydraulic oil for the splitter.
Took this pic today before bringing a couple loads into the garage.
Finally finished the shed about 4 years ago. Took about 3 years, womb to tomb.
Built frame and deck one year. Framed and roofed it the next and put the barn board on the following year. It's open in the front always. The back has 4 removable panels. That's where I land and split the wood and we stack from that side.
Holds a little over 6 cord and we typically go through 4.5 to 5 in a season. The face on the right side will be the first I use in the fall of 17

    Thanks LongShot.
Those too are like the shed, upgrades over the years.
The trailer is very new and is replacing a craftsman yard trailer that threw in the towel a couple months ago. It never was meant for the woods but it gave everything it had. Owes me nothing. It'll stay in the yard....out to pasture I guess.
So far the new one is exactly what's needed in a rocky wooded area.

Thanks, the shed was fun. Milled the horizontals with a Beam Machine from Baileys. Clamps on the bar and rides/wratchets on a 2x4. Purchased the verticals from a no crap mill just north of the Quabbin. Joinery was plunge cut with the chainsaw. Built the bents on the ground and called my brother, father in law and friend over for a mini barn raising.
The deck doesn't like the load...going to work on that between empty and filling.

    Welcome to the forum M2theB

Nice shed you have built. I also like the trailer. It is the same trailer we have except your's had the tandem which is something we do not need with ours. No doubt our land is a bit different from yours especially with yours being rocky. Ours is all sand; not many rocks and not a lot of mud to contend with either. One thing I would highly suggest is to cut a piece of osb to fit in the bottom of the trailer as it will make the mesh last a lot longer. Just a couple slips with some heavy rounds can make the mesh a bit out of shape. It is certainly nice with it being so low to the ground too when it comes time to put some heavy wood into that trailer!

As for changing the hydraulic oil in the splitter, I have yet to do that and not sure I will. I do change the filter, which reminds me I have to get a new one before spring, which is when we do our splitting.

Good call. I had one in my craftsman for years and this guy will probably benefit more so.

As for the hydraulic oil for the splitter, I've got small leak from the back of the valve block where there's a snap ring. Had it for a couple years so referenced the manual and was reminded it recommended to change the oil annually. I'm in about year 7 so thought I'd comply. Splitter still works great, but it may be one of those cases where tiny differences in performance over time aren't noticed. Spent the $40 for some new oil and now looking for a good window to get it done.
Dropped a swamp maple, cherry and what I think is a black oak today and got 2/3 of it back to the pile. Hoping to get the rest next Saturday and have it all split before the game on Sunday.
    Go Pats!

I found a post but not specific to my machine. Had good advice on how to pull the plug so I can refill the cylinder with the pull start. If there is something out there for the TW P1, I'd love to see it.
