Just in the mail. I wasn’t aware that this book was still in print, but fate put me in touch with the author. My buddy met him at a little event, were he had several Indiana guns on display, including one made by an ancestor of my buddy. I have seen these advertised for 250.00 at book seller websites. This wasn’t cheap, but I am thrilled to have it. Any antique owners- I am looking for a Seward muzzle loader. Local early family that had a foundry, that made axes, hatchets, fences, . My neighbor served in the Korean War, and told me he was looking around in a pump house at a reservoir and came across a valve stamped Seward Foundry. I would love to own one, and will it to our county museum.
Looks like excellent reading! Interesting that the author is named Jaeger one of the meanings of which, in German, is "Hunter"!
