Possibly next year or the year after. I’ve got a decent supply ahead of it!

That’s good to know! Thanks! This stuff sat on the ground for awhile too; in log form before I cut it. I’m glad to have it off the ground and some of it split. There were a few rounds that were still pretty wet and will require some extra seasoning time. Curious to see how the rounds from the other pile look when I get to splitting them.

Did some more splitting recently. The split pile is getting bigger and the round pile smaller.

    Back at it!

This Red Oak round had a really beautiful color to it.

Good progress so far! What I have left to split is that back row of rounds you can see in the first pic and the rounds at the ends of the splits in this pic.

There’s actually still a bit more up there that I may cut before the snow flies. If not, spring when things dry out and hopefully before the leaves and bugs come out.

Are you going to put anything else on top of the pallets on top of the metal roofing? In my humble opinion, more weight would be good insurance.

I actually have a lot more pallets laying around. I could put a few more up there for insurance.
