Log tongs for lifting?

    I would love a hydraulic grapple but it's just not in the budget. Would be over $3k by the time I added the 3rd function valve. I only sell 20-30 cord a wood per year so it was hard enough to justify the tractor (and dump trailer, and the 79 cc chainsaw, and the kinetic splitter!)!

    I unstacked a few loads of logs last week with the pallet forks and managed. The NT tongs seem like they would work well for what I need. I saw a video on YouTube where a guy put a set of springs/bungee cords on one side to keep it half open and make it easier to use with one person.
