Thought you fellas would appreciate a little video action of my new splitter. It's a Brave 20 ton Dual Split taking on some 17" red elm. I'm still getting used to splitting in both directions, but it's a nice little unit so far:

Well, I've been keeping this under wraps for a bit till it got here, I purchased a Yardmax 35 ton full beam about two weeks ago from Log Splitters Direct and it got here yesterday. My friend Mr. Savage and I had a few PM conversations on this splitter and did I truly need a 35 ton? "No" but my belief is like, "It's better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it"... I have had some pieces when I just needed a tank for a splitter! Anyway, My want for a different splitter is easy, My back isn't 25 years old any more and I needed a Vertical machine, I have the one I built and for much of my stuff, it's fine but this one is for the "Big" stuff. There are many SUPER splitters out there and I came very close to purchasing one from TSC but I extensively searched, researched and read and researched until the Yardmax "sold me"! Two of the big things is; It's not an "I" beam, it's a "U" beam and has significant strength and less flex than the "I" beam. Second is; "my opinion here" the Briggs and Stratton power plant! I've never seen one die "if it was taken care of"! I had a mower with a Briggs of 23 years, oil changed every season and it ran like a clock. It may still be running if a certain family member didn't hit a stump low in the ground and snap the crankshaft! :zip: I have nothing at all against other engines I just stick to what works for me! If it's not a Honda or Briggs, I'm a bit hesitant. Anyway, Log splitters direct had it on sale and I just couldn't pass it up. Delivered to the door was $1399.00 I had to put it together but it wasn't bad at all. The worst part was getting the packing crate apart,:headbang: "it looked easy in the Video"... Yardmax has some awesome folks ready on the phone if needed and they have many other items I didn't even knew were out there. I haven't split anything with it yet but plan on giving it a work out this weekend with some Oak. Enjoy the pics, if anyone wants any info just shout... :) *NOTE* if anyone decides to ever buy one of these machines, they have an instructional video on youtube, "follow it to the T" it was perfect and spot on, this thing is a heavy Monster!!! My neighbor and I had it together in two hours and he was just a set of hands for lifting.

 For the couple extra bucks, to me it was well worth it. I get some "BIG" stuff once in a while. And taken care, of it'll last me the rest of my life! Heck, Dennis's splitter is still pumping it out after 30 years!!! I hope the Great Lord give's me that much more. o_O

Oooo, that's a purdy splitter Dave  Congrats man :dex::axe:

My 7 ton electric Did a fine job for anything I could lift
I bought a gas splitter because of the vertical function For the big stuff . Always good to have options , I haven't had trouble with any of my Briggs and Stratton engines Including the one on my huskee splitter

Soon enough! I'm gonna put a engine protector table on the engine side or at least bolt some painted angle iron on the platforms, I don't need an engine smashed, That's the only thing I'm not super crazy about this design. But they do make/sell a bolt on table. I have some stuff lying around here to fix it up!;)

That sure is a purty machine WeldrDave! I think you’ll be able to split anything you come across with that beast, especially since you’ll be using it in the proper vertical position!
Now you need an orange tractor to match...just saying :smoke:
