These are very cool. I was considering one before I got my kinetic.

I’ve gone through elm and sycamore with no problems. So much cleaner and faster than a hydraulic. I let a friend borrow my splitter last weekend and he went through nearly a cord of shagbark hickory with no issues. He actually couldn’t believe how well it worked. He had never seen a kinetic before.

I'll have to get myself in operation first !! Then see if my daughter will take her ear buds out long enough to give me the time of day.

The tapered screw works it's way into the side of the log forcing it apart.

I am very impressed with those bigger kinetics. .
I've always thot that the hydraulic splitter s would be greatly benefited from having a sharp , thinner wedge. Instead of them mauling the wood apart it would slice it apart.

In all honesty either splitter is a lot easier than an ax, or maul. And hundreds of times faster than wedges and a maul or sledge.
Now modeling with a 6 cube power saw and a sharp chain really speeds things up. A smaller saw works good also

A good kinetic splitter that has 2 men feeding it can do quite a bit of splitting in an hour ... if I can find the link of the guy with a SuperSplit and a 4way wedge I’ll post it ... something like a facecord in 3mins !

That's the ticket !! If we had a better market for split wood here it would be a great thing !
The outfeed conveyor it THE thing to have imho. It just takes all the hassle out of what to do with the wood when it comes off the splitter.

Hydraulics crush the wood. Kinetics slice through it. A few weeks ago we were getting ready to split on one Saturday evening. In came a customers vehicle on the rollback. The guy driving the rollback asked me if the splitter was fast and I said yes. I thought he knew it was a kinetic. Then he told my Dad he was from El Salvador and they did not have anything like that, it had to be done by hand. When we started splitting he got his phone out and was making a video. I think it was the first time he ever saw a wood splitter in action. Now if he sees a hydraulic he will be disappointed:rofl:

I'd definitely have a kenetic if I could afford it. Not even a close comparo!
