used my heavy duty dolly for years now rounds go in bucket of kubota.. I love hydraulics! I can see a use for one if your situation warrants it. As for I have moved rounds thru sand because a small sand pit out back..... most time thru 4 to 6 inches of chips and and bark. that only get raked into bucket and burned when get to deep and I start tripping in them.... but hey I burned over 12 cord last year
This is the one from Harbor Freight I was referring to: Large rounds on edge will center on the center tubes. If you flip the round flat, going 3 high is only as much of a problem as you lifting the rounds up. Fill plastic totes with firewod level, you can stack them 3 high. Makes it easy to bring wood inside without leaving a trail of debris. I believe Hinerman's son has used it along with a couple of other 8-9 year old boys at charity cuts. Heavy duty welded steel frame and 13 in. pneumatic tires can support a 600 lb. capacity load Folding platform for easy storage 51-3/4 in. height for tall load capacity and extra leverage Extra wide toe plate measures 26 in. wide and 18 in. long While it lists for $150, it is almost always on sale for $99.99
I'm with you. Someone would have to pry my diesel powered orange log dolly out of my cold dead hands.
