Also too, I have customer who would burn green wood that he'd get from me, all winter, with no insulation in the house and it get cold here. Anyone else have a thought about burning green wood in boilers, beyond the typical creosote discussion?
The older OWB's will burn green wood. I prefer dry wood it burns better and I believe I get more heat from it. It always has a nice bed of coals you don't get from green wood.
This is a home made boiler. The builder died last year unfortunately and his son runs it now. I saved them through a couple of bad winters when they didn't have enough wood.
Finally finished splitting and that load new boiler installed and ready for winter. And another load to start cutting.
