Yeah, I tried to sharpen it but it's in pretty bad shape! I'm going to get a couple more for next weekend, I still have 2 more questionable 8 footers that could be a problem so I want to be prepared.

I'd be careful. Judging by those nails it looks like someone on nailed a "ladder" onto that tree. I wouldn't want to mess up a new chain.
I tried to sharpen the chain the best I could and cut the rest of the blue marked logs but they are 20" in diameter and it's pretty tough getting through it with a bad chain. I'm going to sharpen it really good tomorrow and use that for the suspect logs and then put the new one on for the rest. He's bringing over more logs soon so I have to get moving.
You need to be EXTRA CAREFUL cutting around metal. I would NOT even attempt it. It can literally break your chain and get thrown at you or a bystander and you can get hurt really bad!!! If you insist on doing it, helmet with face shield is a must, as well as chaps, gloves, etc. NO bystanders anywhere near you also. Again though, it's not worth the risk imho.
I love the quote in your sig!! Sorry I have not been on at all, I got some life altering news and have been trying to deal with it. I have treatments and surgery starting next week and will be ongoing for the next 10 months so my cutting splitting and stacking are going to be on hold. I need to focus on beating this so I have many years of firewood in my future. Thank you to everyone that has replied, I appreciate it very much!
Oh wow dylskee. We will be praying for you. May God bring you a quick recovery and fill you with His peace
