But that hose is a little vulnerable... I realize it is low pressure but if the worm clamp gets pulled off the fluid makes a mess real quick.

In general it looks good, big & strong enough to hold the splits from a round, and the quick release is a bonus.

How is the work area with the engine on the same side as the valve?

KaptJaq the table covers the tank where the hydraulic hose is attached. Will have to keep watch on hose and if a problem could add a stop bracket to table.
There’s plenty of room to move on the engine side with the valve. There is a hose there too!

You are really going to like using the table. I made a removable one from 1" blackpipe(what I had laying around). Can run horizontal or vertical when needed without removing it. I have never taken it off since I put it on.

1D5C6713-67C0-4546-A1E3-B54FF03DD360.jpeg Was out for a while splitting this morning and I can say this cradle is a success. I was able to take anything liftable by an old guy, table held weight up fine.

I like that I had more control to split off outer bark sections of white oak rounds to cover up wood on these skids split last week.
They are gonna live outside for the next 3 years.

It’s nice when a plan comes together!

Sweet addition. Been thinking of doing one for my Troy-bilt 27ton for the last couple years. It's on the "someday" list, right under the other 400k things.

Mikeward great ingenuity on the removable table. Simple and effective.

Ya, that’s about 30+ miles down 77. I’m close to exit 70 on 81, which is 10 miles from where 77 south splits off 81 north- confuses about 50% of travelers passing through. :picard:

Apparently I've confused this post with another... Long week, head still hasn't come back down to earth.

When I built my splitter I made a log lift and put a removable tray on other side, pull one pin to remove or move to front or rear for towing 02804E66-D71E-434C-B377-8D7E3ADB012A.jpeg 02194769-459C-429D-AEC3-1B419891B6DA.jpeg 299AC826-911A-4454-BFF5-C168B79D23A1.jpeg 02194769-459C-429D-AEC3-1B419891B6DA.jpeg 299AC826-911A-4454-BFF5-C168B79D23A1.jpeg 299AC826-911A-4454-BFF5-C168B79D23A1.jpeg 02194769-459C-429D-AEC3-1B419891B6DA.jpeg 02804E66-D71E-434C-B377-8D7E3ADB012A.jpeg
