cool video. Ive never tried noodling a log that long and knot free. Cut for a bit this afternoon. Kept getting rained out for work and had some up here to buck. Noodled a couple locust chunks with the 16" bar on the 261. Im really loving the light weight with the shorter bar.
Wrapped up the tail end of this locust score from last year. I posted some of these pics in some other threads as I had to gear up with a new/used saw, longer bar and a cant hook to get the but end of this locust stump. There are some other locust logs nicely prep’s, but the club pool board member informed me that they are spoken for, which I have and will respect. I can’t complain about a total of just shy of two cords worth of locust. Some of this tree was “claimed” by some incomplete top cuts, which is a little harder to respect since I had to roll and complete the cuts just to get at what I did. Maybe if it sits there another year, I can get permission to go back and get the rest. note the rookie saw work and twisty lines by me. The year of sitting around did loosen up the bark well.
Always nice to finish a score. One thing about BL it could be years later and the wood is still good. I have some on hold like that. I admire your persistence MFP!
