You got the hopper extension on that thing you call a stove? If so I have a couple multi ton rocks that should keep ya in heat all season long. Just PM me your address.

Here is a picture of the runts of the rock family.

Yes, they increased from $240 to $250 in the past week. I will go grab some of those liggies for the stash sometime in the next week, thanks!

Run, don't walk away from those Easy Heats. One of the worst I've burned.

I know. Feel so lucky this year, we don't usually get this many decent pellets. I drove over to Sturbridge this weekend and passed by a TSC I never knew was there. Had to pop in to see what they had. TSC bagged Lignetics and Hardwood Heat pellets. I guess those Hardwood Heats are Hamer's Hot Ones, which I've never tried before. I have room for about 1 more ton. What would you guys recommend between Hamers and Ligs?

My vote goes to the Hamers. More heat and cleaner in my stove.

Thanks Jay. I will head over there next weekend and grab some. Will check to see if they will let me do a partial / split ton between the hardwood heats and ligs so I can try them both.

The Hamers are an excellent pellet for sure. My stove loves them!

Stopped at local TSC on the way home. Their supply got plundered this weekend. All of the TSC bagged liggies are gone, and all but 4 tons of the real liggies as well. The manager told me someone came in and bought 10 tons of them. However, they also got several truckloads of new product in to replace what was sold. At least 2 truckloads of North Americans, 2 truckloads of TSC bagged MWPs, a new yet to be emptied tractor trailer (not a flatbed) full of liggies, and a flat bed had just finished unloading a new supply of what appear to be TSC branded pellets into the "behind the store" overflow supply. Those new TSC pallets are wrapped differently than all the rest I have seen this year, not sure what they are but I will find out soon.

Also, I lit the P68 for the first time last night. Good thing too, because it was 32 outside when we got up this morning! Was only supposed to get down to 39. Anyway, it feels good to be burning again, only I will gladly take another two or three weeks of the great weather we have been having, before I need to start burning on a regular basis. One can wish. I burned the first bag of those Minute Man pellets. Preliminary results are good. Very low fines and dust in the bag. Almost none. These are definitely a cut above the usual suspects. I can't give a good report on heat output yet, because it just wasn't cold enough to put the stove through it's paces. More to come via formal review as soon as I have a chance to burn a good quantity of them. And all the other brands I stocked this year too.

YUCK ...... Stay with the Ligs and Hamers, if at all possible. Even the MWP are better than those things.

See if you can get a UPC code on those other TSC branded ones you mentioned that were wrapped different.

Here it is. These look like Energex? :) Wondering if Jay is still able to update the first post in this thread with this UPC, as well as the new TSC clear bag lignetics UPC (013238 000520)?

TSC raised their price again. $5.29 a bag or $255 a ton now. I asked the manager why. He said because they are the only ones with pellets right now, so they can. I didn't like that answer, he might as well have said because they are gouging. Nevertheless, he also said we can expect this $0.10 - $0.20 price increase trend to occur regularly as we head into the winter months. He said the reason TSC has a seemingly endless supply of pellets is because they stock piled a massive horde of them in a bunch of giant warehouses this year. FWIW - I don't agree with the sentiment that they are the only ones with pellets. The pellet houses aren't looking too good, but if I search on Lowes and HD websites, I am seeing plenty of on-hand supply in the stores that are within driving distance from me, and their prices have not increased. I don't think TSC will be able to increase prices much more before their customers start going elsewhere.

I haven't stopped at TSC in over a month or any box store for that matter. Starting to go through withdrawal's!! Interesting that they are raising the prices. The war should be just about in full swing with many starting up their stoves and looking for stash fillers.

Took a swing by the Sturbridge TSC on the way home today and picked up a few bags of Lignetics and Hardwood Heat. 15 bags total. Apparently they didn't get the memo about the price increase, they only charged me $4.99 per bag. Also grabbed 3 damaged bags at $3 each. Now if I can just get my hands on a few bags of FSUs and AWFs, my test collection for the season will be complete. :)
