Not much but it's the first action I've had since spring, cured the itch until I can round up another couple hours if free time again. One of the reasons I don't like summer time is because I'm always too busy to cut wood!
Scored some HL on the 12th, same guy also let me have a small load of ash and scored some cedar yesterday but no pictures of that load. Like I even need anymore wood for now. We have enough wood to keep us cutting and splitting for the next couple years.
Base of the red oak was over 4 feet this log was well over 30 inches!!! Got 3 logs and a trailer load.... No other pics too busy working!!
My latest truck load, Maple and Ash. The truck handles loads like this very well. I haul more in the bed than I haul trailers. Hopefully next year I'll have a good trailer to drag around with wood in it.
Trailers are great for when you bring home a load like that, and your too worn out to stack it that day. Or if your like me and you only get a little time here and there, you can leave it on the trailer for the next weekend or whenever you get another bit of time. Truck looks great loaded down! Looks like it is barely squatting, my half ton Silverado would have flipped over with that much on it! Is that stock suspension or do you have air bags in there also?
Boogeyman, the truck is stock. It has the stock overload springs on it but no air bags. I thought about a programmer for it but just can't justify it right now.
The long handle is a Husqvarna felling lever . https://www.amazon.co.uk/HUSQVARNA-130cm-FELLING-LEVER-BREAKING/dp/B00EWFD6FA
I don't want to hear anything about me loading down a ranger after seeing this! Haha Those scrappers sure can load a truck!
