Sorry, not firewood. We had to get 60 more bale of hay for the sheep today. Two loads this size. It looks like really high quality alfalfa/grass mix.
A free load from today, thanks to bocefus78. This is actually my 4th load from this particular scrounge, and I'm betting there will be at least 4 more. Mainly ash this time, with some soft maple (?) thrown in. Previous loads have been ash and hard maple. I need to get in some time behind the maul. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
I posted elsewhere, but they really belong here. First load was trailer only to test it out, and 2nd load after a big coffee was truck only. I only have so much ambition lol
While I'm at work today, my wife is cutting wood . Load 1 is on the ground, load 2 is still on the pickup. She emailed me at work telling me she would leave the second load for me to unload. I emailed back telling her that shouldn't do just half the job. As you can see she didn't listen. I did tell her she did good!
Another one from today loaded with that premium poplar. I'm sure most of this is dry enough it could get thrown in the stove tomorrow. Settled in about 1.25" off the bump stops. And that beast of a saw Husqvarna 240 posed in all it's glory. Two truck loads n one trailer since Wednesday haha all my muscles are wound tighter than a guitars strings!
Two loaded trucks today Dads loaded with walnut, we're drowning in Walnut this year after having several of them logged this past summer. Mine with a heaping helping of half ton abuse, I need to get a bigger one so I can tow/haul more at a time
Hit the mother load of free stuff. Friends family has small mill and they are moving. Everything in the background I already cut and stacked. Stuff on the tractor, more in the truck. Got 6 truck loads in all. Just cost me gas and time. They loaded it with a skid steer! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
Keeping at it like a busy beaver. while there was room for more, it was almost a bridge too far for me.
And yet more poplar from the beavers playground. Stupid me forgot to throw my chain before loading, so I didn't go overboard.
Learned the value of a headache rack today lol Dad was tossing wood into the back and tossed one a little too far, another reason I like loading the trailer instead of the truck.
I feel bad for him...... The feeling in his stomach. It takes a while to laugh that off. Funny as all hell down the road though. Never live that down.
It's his truck so it won't cost me anything, he just said "oh well I guess I'll see what insurance says about it monday". He didn't seem mad about it for more than about a minute. Then he saw me taking a picture and said "oh thanks, your gonna share that with everyone now aren't you"
I have done that before, good thing rear windows are plentiful and cheep from the junk yard for my ranger, but I have since made a headache rack.
I busted my rear window mounting a rack inside the cab,,,drove a screw thru the edge of the glass and "POP", a million pieces. I used packing tape to cover it inside and out before removing it. 75 clams from the junkyard and about 20 bucks worth of sealer. Took less than an hour to replace.
