That is the truck that I want!!!!!! Had a 1991 just like it bit got totaled years ago. I have the 94 now but nothing beats the looks of the old crew cabs When scrap got really high a few years ago all those body style trucks disappeared around here :-( that is one hell of a load by the way!
Its the 2.3L the one with 8 spark plugs. And its the Aluminum 5speed manual trans. I have like 303,000 on it now.
Its an 80. Has single square headlights. And front parking lights under them. I think it was the only year with that arrangement that or 80/81
She works for the US Forest Service... Planning and implementing hazardous fuels reduction projects. I wish I could explain it better, but most of it is over my head!
I know what your talking about I am a forester as well. Dont do what she does but have an idea from your description.
It's cooled quite a bit. We had some rain Fri/Sat and yesterday it started getting cold. 10 degrees rite now with snow rolling in tonight. I'm thinking about chasing a truckload today but afraid the ground is still soggy from the rain,,,Hmmmm, decisions, decisions...of course I'm still slurping coffee and haven't showered/dressed yet, so I'm thinking I might be fooling myself with thought of getting out of doors!!
If I ever get my damm truck back from mechanic, I will be back to cutting again. Hopefully tomorrow... If not it won't be till next week :-(
Early December Red Maple scrounge.. I do believe this finishes up my 15-16 wood and I can start in on my 16-17 stuff... Went the right way.. Only reason I scrounged it was because I could leave the brush. Fortunately I didn't have to buy a new pool!! Loaded and ready to go!! Area prepped and ready to stack the red maple once I got motivated enough to split and stack it..
Here's another.. Went on a little shopping trip and brought home some BTU's from the side of the road. I'm guessing this will be 17-18 wood since it's Red Oak... Most of this tree had already been scrounged.. The pieces that were left must have been too heavy for someone else to lift.. Good thing I had a friend to help..
Don't doubt that those guys were heavy. Every time I work with red oak it amazes me how much more it weighs than ash.
