I say the same about cars today. I don't want to drive a computer! Glad you were able to get out and get something done.
Yes, it is frustrating in cold weather. In warm weather it's a go ahead oner machine. I take it pretty easy with it. Longevity is my goal with it . It does Many things well . And I need what it does well . I have enough insulated metal panels to build a building on sled runners to garage it at the timber sales. I'll rip some 8x8s for the sled runners and frame it with 2x4s 9x15 foot x 8' tall. Barn door on 1 end . Wood stove in the other . Getting it good and warm before I start it end to end will be a big help . This coming week is looking good temp and weather wise . Hope to get a good week in .
Yes, cabin fever is a real thing . Lots of dog walks . Plus being off grid there is lots of outdoors work . Keeps us busy. With the extreme cold , everything has to be thought through before doing it . There is no vehicles starting to bring about a rescue. Really , no modern safety net of EMS or anything . Yesterday's warm up . Was awesome I filed 2 saws on the tailgate with gloves and a ball cap on .
Hey Jeff, I probably know the answer to this question, but do those tie downs on the bottom prevent the totes from shifting??
Not my truck or wood. I was at TSC last week and this truck was in the lot when I was leaving. I waited for the guy and inquired about the wood (I can spot BL blindfolded) He offered it and the other limb wood he still had at the cut to me for a price, but as you all know I can't take log length. Plus I don't pay for wood as tempting as this load was. Had a nice chat with the guy though.
