Finally nearing the end of the maple tree I've been working on. Same guy had a white pine taken down so I threw a few rounds on top. Sent from my motorola edge plus 5G UW (2022) using Tapatalk
Delivered a load of pole length pine to a older friend of mine that has a outdoor wood boiler. It was about all that my old cared to haul.
Got a load of Cherry and ash this morning i threw a 20 inch bar on my 385 and got the truck loaded pretty quick had some decent sized cherry logs to noodle up the 8lb maul was a must…all split and stacked now
Hickory pre split with the help of jbsawman some of them i didnt even have to pick up he split with skid steerer splitter attachment
No, just working smahta, not harder. I haven't evolved that far yet! Although I have been splitting right off the truck more often as of late. May cut a load or two like that this week.
Running a little late this year, but one more load should do. Found a closer spot that saves me 15 miles round trip so was happy about that. If anyone wants to hazard a guess as to how much I've been loading here, would be appreciated. I just call them fat 1/2 cords but I'm sure there's more here. Always 8 footers.
Conservative half cord, maybe close to a couple face cords when really heaping. Measured half cord loosely tossed into my 8' bed Ford makes a heaping load similar to yours.
