The fresh cut red oak was pretty heavy for the diameter. The walnut I found as precut rounds that somebody dumped illegally roadside on town property. Looks like they were sitting on someone's lawn for the past year. They weren't terribly hefty though. If I had a maul with me I would've probably halved them first (and could've fit a couple more in the bed that way too :))

In Connecticut the deposit went from 5c to 10c. At 32 cans per pound that equals $3.20

Thanks! I like being able to just throw the rounds in. I have to pay way more attention when loading the truck or I’d jack up my body panels.

I sure do envy yall that live in the cooler climates. It's been 100 to 102 degrees here with the humidity making it feel like 212. Fall is around the corner though.

We had a record June & July in terms of heat. Been cooler the last week or two and the forecast looking good for this week too.

Yes, Fall is around the corner and looking forward to cooler temps myself.

Great day to pick up some precut maple. Was a little warm mid to upper 70’s.

This cooler weather is great! Load of red oak last Friday and a load of white oak this morning.
