Or extend the hitch and fashion a way to hold the front of the bed down?

the bed extends past the frame, can't extend the hitch or it wont dump

I can trailer the kubota, BUT, I am at the extreme limit of my pickup truck and trailer, and I cannot legally tow with a 3500 since I don't have a CDL yet, this truck can carry 14K on the deck, vs the 10600 on my trailer, and its under CDL, plus where we work, trailers are a horrible thing, getting into places you can't back out of is a big issue here with neighborhoods, more than once have I had to unhook the trailer to make a turn

plus this truck is almost 30 feet long, still 10ft shorter than my trailer and pickup, but I really could lose that 3ft of bed and still be more than happy, plus it won't lift the front of the bed up when I load the machine since there wont be anything behind the pivot

If you carry the Kubota in the bed, you can't load the truck and still make it home in one trip?

Congrats on the new truck, she sure is purty!

cant load the truck and haul the machine, you are correct, once I get my CDL I can tow upwards of 30-40K behind this truck, itll be super slow being only 190hp, but itll do it, safely and legally

plan for now is the removable chip box so I can tow a chipper in an under CDL truck and haul almost double the chips that I haul in my forestry truck which is well over CDL (and leaks every fluid everywhere, running or not, its like an airplane)

And thank you! as you said, sure is purty! I like driving it way more than my bucket truck too, even tho its almost 7 feet longer, it feels like a little ford ranger compared to the bucket (or even my pickup)

Load of Doug fir! :D IMG_5414.JPG IMG_5416.JPG IMG_5417.JPG Those are 20' 2x8's. 15 of them. PU was rather top heavy. Took it slow on the four mile ride back to the job.
I always stop to admire the pile of logs next door to the lumberyard. Nice to dream. IMG_5413.JPG

Thanks for the kind words my friend! :handshake:

If it does I wouldn't know. Bought used 5.5 years ago. I know it was an old fleet vehicle so probably well maintained. I do work it hard and it comes back for more.

I cut the tree a couple more times so it would lay flat on the ground and not be able to be seen by others driving by. 2nd load.
