Now that the yard is frozen it time to bring a couple loads of farwood up to the house. IMG_0630.jpeg

Nice. Send some of that frozen ground here. I really could use it.

X2! Yesterday evening it was 50 degrees before we turned in, then we got almost another inch of rain overnight. My yard is several inches of soft mud right now.

I’m going to wait for tomorrow for the second load. I didn’t wreck the yard by any means but it’s not as solid as I’d like it. For as much rain as we got it could be way worse. Should be around 12 degrees mid morning tomorrow.

I think I would take mud over what we have.

Second load of farwood up to the house. Stacked in December of 18. Yard is more solid than it was yesterday.

Well...sort of. When they dropped the spar it barber chaired and split off about 80% of the round. That was one piece they bucked. I got it out today but chunked it up. Pics top follow shortly in the other thread.

Even though i am able to lift rounds as a whole ive gotten into the habit of sectioning them even at 12-14" diameter just for ease of handling. Either that or im getting weaker in my old age! :BrianK::rofl:

It has for the bigger cuts and noodle duty.

I was in the shop last night and looking at the 361 &462. Took the 18" bar off the 462 and put it on the 361. Guess i should give them and the 460 some cutting time.

The 400 is friggin loud with that bark box and with hearing protection. Seems i can feel my fillings rattle when bucking a big log. Does yours have a muffler mod or stock. I know its been ported.
