Im thinking that too. They burn just a fireplace. Two retirement aged sisters. Friend of theirs is a 4-5 year regular of mine.

I lost four cords worth of regular customers last year and have more than made up for it this year. Now im panicking about having enough for next year? Have a few empty racks to fill with one year woods. My current red maple cut should fill a couple. Most of it destined for bundle inventory though.

Sounds like something you’d pick up at your local Ohio dispensary. :D

I've found once the bark becomes loose...it splits rather decently...You should be just fine with your timing... :handshake:

IMG_2612.jpeg Got another load of white oak Friday! Been trying to stay out of the woods the last couple weeks because of hunting season, so I’ve been slacking on my fire wood production

Yep, lots of dead and down wood. I have to prioritize, there is beech which takes priority, then silver maple and tulip poplar. The beech fell over at its ballroot,I limbed it out this summer to get the truck where it is. There’s also a creek to cross so I can’t go there if it’s been raining. I haven’t been back over that hill either there’s probably a boatload of wood back there too. I’ll be headed there this weekend, got rained out last Sunday. It’s a shame I can’t get a trailer in there but it is what it is.
